CLINICAL CODING AUDITOR WORKSHOP
The Clinical Coding Audit Workshop aims to develop an experienced Accredited Clinical Coder into an Approved Clinical Coding Auditor.
The workshop teaches delegates the correct application of the Clinical Classifications Service’s Clinical Coding Audit Methodology to;
- measure the quality of ICD-10 and OPCS-4 code assignment
- identify areas of best practice and those requiring improvement.
To minimise the impact of this the CCS have adjusted the minimum post-accreditation requirements to two years (previously three) during this period, have accepted additional bookings and scheduled extra assessment days in order to meet demand. Acceptance onto this workshop is subject to delegates passing the Clinical Coding Auditor Assessment Day.
- In 2017-18 the CCS will be acting as an ICD-11 Field Trial Centre. This will mean that we will be unable to deliver CCS training courses.
- Find out all you need to know about the Workshop in the Clinical Coding Auditor Programme Handbook.
