• Sepsis queries

  Published: June 2017

  We have received a number of queries submitted regarding the coding of sepsis which have identified issues with ICD-10 standard DChS.I.1: Sepsis, septic shock, severe sepsis and neutropenic sepsis. We are currently collating all of the issues so that we can seek advice from the NHS England Cross-system Sepsis Programme Board in order to provide a suitable resolution. Please accept our apologies for the delay in providing responses and thank you for your patience; we are working to get these to you as soon as possible. 

  We will shortly publish information on the issues identified along with a short survey inviting feedback on the application of the standard any additional problems you have faced. Comments will be fed back to the programme board and used to inform future update of the standard.

• Animation 5 now available - How does dual coding fit into the implementation of SNOMED CT in primary care?
