Basic Anatomy & Physiology Manual 2020 and NCCQ (UK) Bibliography
Published: May 2020
Dear colleague,
The Basic Anatomy & Physiology Clinical Coding Instruction Manual and NCCQ (UK) Syllabus, Framework and bibliography along with the NCCQ (UK) Self-Directed Learning Framework have been updated for 2020.
The SNOMED CT section of the NCCQ (UK) bibliography has been simplified to include the SNOMED CT Awareness for Clinical Coders presentation.
There have been some minor amendments to the A&P manual, these can be found in the table of changes located in Section 12 at the end of the manual. Following discussions with our publisher TSO, it has become clear that the demand for hard copies of the Basic Anatomy & Physiology Clinical Coding Instruction Manual has reduced significantly. The A&P manual sales average at only six per month and the books would require a significant price increase to offset the high production costs of a full colour publication, which makes the Print on Demand service a non-viable option.
We have therefore taken the decision to cease production of hard copies of the A&P manual from the 2020 version onwards.
Electronic versions of all of the reference books, including the A&P manual will continue to be available for download from Delen.
Kind regards

Published: July 2017
The Clinical Classifications Service would like to draw your attention to the Miscellaneous Presentation Notes Pages handout which will have been issued during Module 2 of the NCCQ (UK) Revision Programme v1.0, in particular Slide 5. We can confirm the number of distinct sections listed in Volume 2 of ICD-10 5th Edition is seven, plus references and index.
We would like to reassure all Approved Clinical Coding Trainers that this will be rectified in the next version.
Please continue to send your comments/suggestions regarding the Programme to enable us to ensure that the course meets the needs of the delegate and the service.
Thank you,
Terminology and Classifications Delivery.
